December events in London!

As ever, Christmas and New Year is a truly exciting time in London, and we are looking forward to celebrating the festive season with these exceptional events!

The Enchanted Woodland, Syon Park

We had a sneak peek at Syon Park when it played host to Decorex earlier this year, one of the top design events in the calendar. In the lead-up to Christmas, this beautiful parkland is now the venue for The Enchanted Woodland – a colourful illuminated trail filled with magical interactive light shows. The route can be completed in half an hour by those with a brisk pace, but better to allow longer for taking photos

We feel this one is a lovely antidote to commercialised Christmas events, incorporating both nature and the wonder of the festive season.

Christmas Past at Geffrye Museum

As fans of interior design, this event is right up our street! A free event, set in one of London's prettiest attractions, the Geffrye Museum in east London traces changes in middle-class taste in interior design from 1600 to the present day through a series of period room settings.

Discover how English homes celebrated Christmas, and discover at which point the Christmas tree and Christmas card display became a fixture.

This is a lovely event and a gem of a museum, and we hear they also have fab Christmas cards in the museum shop – a must visit this festive season!
